Holiday Exercising to Stop Weight Gain – Anyone?

spin that

I just read an interesting article on the Abilene.RC.com site — Holiday Exercise Tips about fitting in some exercise during the holidays to combat the weight gain we may expect because of all the good eatin’s.

The article has some good points to make that it is NOT just the food we eat during the holidays that cause us to gain weight — it’s all the socializing too. Where we eat and sit around, eat and sit around.

We probably can’t expect ourselves to lose weight or lose a lot of weight during this time, yet we can wiggle in some exercise …

Take walks outside — with all the outdoor holiday decorations, this should be a great way to get in a little exercise.

Also, when shopping, park far, far away from the entrance (if it is not dark!), so you have to walk further.

Try not to let your gym visits disappear entirely. If you can’t make it your usual time, go at other times.

It is hard to exercise, watch our diet and continue our weightloss goals during the holiday season, yet it is not impossible. Fit in just 10 minutes a day — and the weight gain may not be so bad …

What do you think? Let me know below :)
